My Wedding Day

Two years ago on this day I was getting ready to walk down the isle. I was about to marry the most caring and wonderful man, my best friend and soulmate. (❤ I love you, George! ❤)

My wedding day - the arc

So today I wanted to share with you a couple of moments of my best day ever – my wedding day.

Crisis #1 (First and final, thank God!):
The fit of my wedding dress

When I purchased my dream dress it was 2 sizes bigger and they had to make a lot of changes at the bridal shop in order to fit. I went to two fittings and the dress was still huge the day before the wedding. I had no choice so I took it and drove to my made of honor’s mother who is a perfect sewer. She had her leg broken a couple of days before and she was very stressed having just the afternoon to fix it but she made it and it was perfect! (Thanks, Valеntina, you #singleleggedly saved the day!)

My wedding day - the bride

I am a DIY Bride – I planned the whole wedding by myself and I made a ton of stuff for the decor like tulle bows and textile flowers for the chairs, napkin rings and a cake topper banner.

My wedding day - the seating lists

My wedding day - gifts and cards suitcase

I also made additional silk flowers for the dress and for my hair (5 flowers took me 3 days), seating chart and, of course – the wedding invitations, RSVP cards, directions, tags and stamps for the envelopes.

I even drove myself and my fiance to our wedding venue. (I was so nervous I had to keep my brain occupied with something!)

My wedding - the flower girls

The cutest flower girls (and you can tell who is the boss!)

My wedding day - the weddind bands

We chose the most simple, classic wedding rings.

My wedding day - the flowers

My wedding day - table arrangment

I was so confident in Rumena from Manghee Weddings about the flowers and wedding decor that I fully trusted her and she did not disappoint me. I simply can’t imagine a wedding bouquet more beautiful than this one!

My wedding day - naked cake

The most (seriously!) delicious wedding cake is called “Hazelnut Kiss”. I really love this rustic and natural look of the naked cakes!

My wedding day - the shoes

If you are wondering why there is no groom on the photos, It is not that I hide him – my husband is also the photographer so he was behind the camera for most of the time 🙂
